Roxie Beckles: IFBB Pro, 2014 Olympian & Masters Contest Prep Coach

Competitive experience. Professional coaching. Individualized preparation for women ready to build something extraordinary.

I’m Roxie Beckles, founder of RoxStar Fitness, an IFBB professional athlete in Women’s Physique and a competitor at the 2014 Olympia. I’ve worked in fitness since 1997 and help women develop their physiques, choose an appropriate division, and prepare for competition with attention to training, nutrition, recovery, presentation and life after the show.

I coach Bikini, Wellness, Figure, Women’s Physique and Fit Model. My own competition background is in Figure and Women’s Physique, but my coaching is not limited to those divisions. I have particular experience working with masters women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, as well as first-time and returning competitors at other eligible ages.

Competition History: From Figure to the Olympia Stage

I know preparation from the athlete’s side. My competitive career began in Figure in 2010, progressed through national-level amateur competition, and evolved into Women’s Physique before I earned professional status in 2013. Those seasons taught me the importance of choosing the right division, building the physique before dieting it, and respecting the very real demands of stage preparation.

Year Verified competitive milestone
2010 Began competing in NPC Figure; second in Figure Class E at the Tournament of Champions.
2011 Won Figure Class E and the Figure Overall at the NPC Tournament of Champions.
2012 Transitioned to Women’s Physique; won the overall at the NPC Los Angeles Grand Prix and NPC Sacramento.
2013 Won Women’s Physique Tall at NPC Team Universe, earning my IFBB Pro Card.
2014 Third at the IFBB Los Angeles Grand Prix, second at the IFBB Emerald Cup, and competed in the Women’s Physique Olympia (16th).

Professional Foundation: Coaching, Education and Stage Presentation

I started working as a personal trainer in 1997 and later built RoxStar Fitness as a coaching business. My work combines individualized resistance-training programming, nutrition planning, progress assessment and practical accountability. I have coached women pursuing general strength and body composition as well as competitive physique goals.

My training also includes a BFA in Dance from Fordham University and a professional dance background shaped by training in New York, including the Alvin Ailey and Joffrey traditions. That performance education informs how I think about body awareness, movement quality, poise, and confidence in front of judges, alongside physique development.

I approach contest prep with a clear understanding of its limits: stage-level conditioning is temporary, preparation is demanding, and a responsible coach sometimes recommends postponing a show in favor of better training, nutrition, and recovery foundations. My role is to help athletes make informed decisions, not promise a trophy or a risk-free prep.

All Five Women's Contest Divisions, One Individualized Approach

I work with athletes preparing for Bikini, Wellness, Figure, Women’s Physique, and Fit Model, including eligible masters age classes. These are distinct divisions with different expectations for muscularity, conditioning, presentation and posing, and requirements vary across federations and events. We assess your physique and current rules rather than treating every category as interchangeable.

First-time masters competitors may need a lengthy development phase before a contest diet is appropriate. Experienced athletes may need a different strategy, especially when recovery, professional responsibilities, and the demands of competition intersect. Either way, your plan begins with where you are, not a stage date pulled out of thin air.

How Active Platinum Contest Prep Works

Active contest prep is $997 per month with a minimum 16-week commitment. The package includes weekly 45-minute progress-and-strategy calls (not formal posing lessons), personalized programming and monitoring, one initial 60-minute private posing session, four flexibly scheduled 30-minute posing tune-ups during the initial 16-week prep, mock peak week, peak-week coaching and remote show-day support. New clients pay a one-time $497 onboarding fee; that fee is waived for current RoxStar coaching clients transitioning to contest prep or upgrading to Platinum. In-person show attendance, travel, and third-party competition costs are not included.

Questions About Roxie Beckles and Masters Contest Prep

Is Roxie Beckles an IFBB Pro and Olympia competitor?

Yes. I earned my IFBB Pro Card in Women’s Physique at the 2013 NPC Team Universe Championships and competed in the 2014 Women’s Physique Olympia. My 2014 pro season also included a second-place IFBB Emerald Cup finish.

Does Roxie coach only Figure and Women’s Physique?

No. Those divisions are part of my own competitive background, but my coaching services also cover Bikini, Wellness and Fit Model, with division-specific preparation and current federation criteria.

Does RoxStar Fitness work with women over 50 or over 60?

Yes. My published athlete stories include Carolyn Kimmel earning her Figure Pro Card at 52 and Denise pursuing Figure competition in her 60s. I coach based on experience, goals, available training time, and current readiness rather than age alone.

Where can I read actual competition results?

My personal contest-history record lists competition placements; the Masters Athlete Results collection links to detailed client stories and placements where documented.
