Calorie Blasting Tabata MetCon Circuit + Full Workout

One of the things I just love to do is program workouts. I mean program design to me is like writing poetry, and I’ve spend a lot of years and years (and education) simply learning how to properly program workouts, and piece things together in a way that makes sense – and is progressive.

The beauty of today’s time is that I no longer have to keep my awesome approach to program design to myself! Instead, I get to share it with you through my many channels of social media and here on my blog. And OF COURSE, one of the best ways to do so is through YouTube.

So I went ahead and created a new video segment called “Your 1 Minute Training Session”.

And during this session (which is often over 1 minute, lol more like 2 mins, but that doesn’t sound as cool for a title), I’m not only giving you a kick butt workout, but I”m also going over the things you need to think about to make the most out of the workout, all of the variables like reps and sets you need to perform, and what you can do to raise the bar in the gym – and get the most out of the sequence I’m giving you!

I plan on doing this about once a week to every other week depending on my schedule. So without further ado, let’s start with today’s training session!

 

Tabata MetCon Circuit

You’re going to LOVE this workout if you’re looking for a way to get your cardio in, in a way that’s challenging, not boring, and takes you outside of your comfort zone.

We’ll be performing the workouts below as tabatas circuits. So for each circuit, you will perform the exercises for 20 secs, take 10s of rest, then move to the next exercise. Repeat this again. After having done it twice, you’ve completed one full round. Take 90s off, and then repeat each tabata circuit again until you’ve completed 3 full rounds.

Ideally, you want to try to beat your numbers for each set. So if in round one, you performed 30 reps of X-exercise in 20s, see if you can do 32 or 35 reps instead. By pushing your limits in this way, you are forcing your body to work harder, burn more calories, and really keep the intensity up. That’s what brings along change and progress.
